When the first posters of Salman Khan's upcoming production Notebook came out, we had a doubt that it would be similar to a Keany Reeves romantic drama, The LakeHouse. The reason? It has to do with Salman Khan's tweet. In that, he had written, "Bina mile kabhi pyaar ho sakta hai? (Can you fall for someone you have not met before?" That line reminded us of The Lake House, starring Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock, where the protagonist's romance traverses timelines. Notebook is the debut of Mohnish Behl's daughter Pranutan and Zaheer Iqbal. Trailer of Salman Khan’s Upcoming Production Notebook, Starring Pranutan Bahl and Zaheer Iqbal, to Be Revealed On THIS Day.

However, with more posters coming out, we began to realise that Notebook did not share similarity with the Hollywood film, but a Thai movie. The latest poster did it in. The poster has both Pranutan and Zaheer placed separately in the poster, surrounded by kids.

Digging deeper, we found there is a lot in common that Notebook shares with a 2014 Thai film, Teacher's Diary (Khit Thueng Witthaya). The romantic drama was about a male teacher who comes to teach in a remote village and finds an old diary of the previous teacher there. She was fired for her refusal to take down a tattoo on her body. The male teacher feels attracted to what she wrote in her diary and began to write his own comments there. By the time the lady returns to the school, he has left by then. When she gets her diary back, she is also attracted by his comments.

Interestingly, the English tagline of Teacher's Diary is "Is It Possible to Love Someone You Have Never Met?" which is very similar to what Salman had tweeted. Pulwama Terror Attack: Salman Khan Replaces Pakistani Singer Atif Aslam In Notebook.

We are sure that matters would be clearer when the trailer of Notebook arrives on February 22. Interestingly, Mitron, the last film of Notebook director Nitin Kakkar, who shot to fame with Filmistaan, was a remake of a Telugu film. Let's hope the producers of Notebook have taken proper remake rights for the film.

Another intriguing observation we have here is that Salman Khan will be seen next in Bharat which is a remake of the Korean film, Ode to My Father. So we wonder what's his new obsession with South East cinema, after favouring South Indian films in the past.
