Pagalpanti's fate has been sealed. A film which should have opened with Rs 7-8 crore in its kitty, fetched only Rs 5 crore. It saw minimal growth on Saturday and some hike on Sunday. But that wasn't enough to help the film post a good opening weekend total. First Monday numbers are equally disappointing which makes it evident that the film might wrap up even before it could finish its first week. By earning Rs 2.5 crore on first Monday, the film has taken the total to Rs 20.55 crore. Pagalpanti tried to keep the comedy in the Housefull range but faltered as none of the jokes made the audience laugh. Yes, Marjaavaan's success made it evident that the mass audience┬аis hungry for decade old content but that doesn't mean they will let anything pass.

Pagalpanti is directed by Anees Bazmee and stars John Abraham, Pulkit Samrat, Arshad Warsi, Anil Kapoor, Kriti Kharbanda, Ileana Dcruz and Urvashi Rautela. It will be interesting to see how much the film earns by the end of its run at the box office.
