Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone undoubtedly share a beautiful and thrilling chemistry on screen. Whenever the duo has come together for a film, the movie has turned out to be the ready-made formula for a blockbuster. The actors also enjoy a huge fan base. Ever since their commercial was launched, fans have been waiting with eager eyes to witness their grandeur on the big screen. Now, reports have surfaced that the duo has been roped by Anurag Basu for a film together. According to a report published in BollywoodLife, both Deepika and Ranbir are in talks with Anurag Basu. Ranbir has earlier worked with Anurag in Barfi co-starring Priyanka Chopra and Ileana D’Cruze, and in Jagga Jasoos co-starring Katrina Kaif. Hence, it goes without saying, that the director-actor duo shares an impeccable mix for hit films. However, Deepika is yet to work with Anurag and we cannot stop rooting for it to happen.

Deepika and Ranbir have earlier worked together in Bachna Ae Haseeno, Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani, and Tamasha. Their film YJHD was widely appreciated by the critics and audiences alike and became a blockbuster hit. The Ayan Mukerji film also starred Kalki Koechlin and Aditya Roy Kapur in lead roles.

On the work front, Deepika is busy with the shoots of her upcoming Meghna Gulzar’s film Chhapaak. Based on the real-life story of an acid attack survivor Laxmi, Chhapaak is an inspirational tale and has been impressing fans ever since the announcement was made. Ranbir, on the other hand, is busy with the promotions of his upcoming film Brahmastra. Helmed by Ayan Mukerji, the film brings the real-life couple – Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor – on the big screen. The film is the first part of a trilogy and also stars Amitabh Bachchan in a crucial role. Brahmastra is all set to hit the theatres this December.
