Shabana Azmi met with a horrible accident today afternoon and was immediately hospitalised owing to her injuries. The actress was travelling when her car rammed into a truck from behind on Mumbai - Pune Expressway. She was critically injured in the mishap and was then admitted to the MGM hospital in Panvel. While Javed Akhtar was travelling with her, the details of his minor injuries are still awaited. While doctors at the hospital clarified that her health is stable, she was later moved to Ambani hospital in Andheri for further treatment.

Shabana Azmi is currently in Mumbai undergoing her further treatment and her family is right by her side. We have pictures of Farhan Akhtar, Tabu, Shibani Dandekar and Anil Kapoor rushing to the hospital to check her well being. "Unko neck pe chott Lagi hai. Now Salim Khan has spoken to the same web portal to give an update on her health. The veteran writer who shares a great bond with Javed Akhtar called him up to check on her well being and was glad to realise that all is well with her. "Javed told me that there is no internal damage. She is talking and very much in senses," he said when asked about her health update. Hopefully, the actress will get discharged in a day or two.
