The Captain Vikram Batra biopic was shot in Chandigarh and Himachal Pradesh for the first schedule. “There were reports of unrest but by and large, there is no problem at all. Places like Kargil, Leh, Ladakh and even Jammu are calm, that’s what I heard from some of the army officers I spoke to. Only Srinagar is a little tense, but we’re optimistic it will also ease out in the coming days. That’s also why we moved our cast and crew from Leh," producer Shabbir Boxwala was quoted saying by the Mumbai Mirror.

Also, according to the reports, the cast and crew will be in Kargil till September 15. "We’ll be primarily filming the action sequences, the war portions and Captain Batra’s initial days after his recruitment and subsequent posting at the Kargil,” the producer added. Shershaah also stars Kiara Advani, Shishir Sharma, Sahil Vaid in key roles. The film is directed by Vishnuvardhan Kulasekaran and is slated to release in 2020.
