Rohit Shetty's directorial venture Simmba is still running in the theatres, however, the film's collection has taken a hit due to Uri: The Surgical Strike storming the box office ever since its release. And now that Kangana Ranaut's Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi has released along with Nawazuddin Siddiqui's Thackeray, the competition at the BO has only gotten tougher for Simmba. Starring Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan in the lead, the film arrived in the cinema halls on December 28 and so far has raked in Rs 239.48 crore at the Indian box office. Simmba Box Office Collection: Ranveer Singh's Film Inching Towards Rs 240 Crore Mark, Earns Rs 238.13 Crore.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to microblogging site Twitter a while and wrote, "#Simmba has slowed down considerably due to #Uri wave and the two significant releases [#Manikarnika and #Thackeray] taking away substantial screens + shows... [Week 5] Fri 12 lakhs, Sat 33 lakhs, Sun 35 lakhs. Total: ₹ 239.48 cr. India biz."

He also tweeted, "#Simmba biz at a glance...Week 1: ₹ 150.81 cr, Week 2: ₹ 61.62 cr, Week 3: ₹ 20.06 cr, Week 4: ₹ 6.19 cr, Weekend 5: ₹ 80 lakhs, Total: ₹ 239.48 cr. India biz. BLOCKBUSTER."

With Uri, Manikarnika and Thackeray performing well at the ticket windows, it looks unlikely that Simmba will surpass the Rs 250 crore mark at the domestic BO. Having said that, what's phenomenal is the fact that at the worldwide box office Simmba has gone past the Rs 350 crore mark and is inching towards Rs 400 crore club. But only time will tell if it manages to enter the Rs 400 crore club or not. Simmba Box Office Collection: Ranveer Singh Starrer Surpasses the Rs 350 Crore Mark Worldwide.
