Sushant Singh Rajput's Drive has been in production hell for quite some time now. The movie missed two of its theatrical release dates, for reasons best known to the production house. Sushant has even said in interviews that he is clueless as to what has happened to the film. Rumour has it that the makers were not content with the finished product. But now, skipping the theatrical release, the movie is landing straight on the OTT platform, Netflix, soon. The movie has been acquired by the streaming platform. Today, the makers, Dharma Productions, have announced that the first song from Drive will release on October 3.

The cast and crew of the film took to their social media pages to share a still from the film. The title of the song has been announced to be Makhna, which is quite a favourite word of Bollywood when it comes to songs. We have seen Yo Yo Honey Singh's song "Makhna", recently, and we have also seen in Madhuri Dixit dance with Amitabh Bachchan and Govinda on "Makhna", back in the 90s. We hope this Makhna from Drive is not another song remake.

In the still posted, we can see Sushant chilling with Jacqueline Fernandez, Sapna Pabbi and Vikramjeet Virk on a yacht. This gives us an impression this will be a chill number that will instantly put you in vacay mode. The only cast member to not have shared the post is Sushant himself. Has he distanced himself from the movie?

Speaking of songs from Drive, it has been reported that the movie will indeed feature two song-remakes. We will see a reprised version of "Tauba Tauba" from Kaal and also of "Janaabe Ali" from Bardasht. A release date for the film has still not been announced but with the promotional spree beginning, it is evident that we are close. The fans Sushant has gathered with movies like Chhichore and Sonchiraiya will definitely check out the film.

Earlier, Dharma honcho Karan Johar said, "Our vision for Drive was to make a film that elevates the genre of action-heist films. With nail-biting chases and action sequences, fronted by a spectacular cast, Drive combines the best of Bollywood storytelling with international production quality. I’m thrilled to partner Netflix once again in bringing this incredibly fun film to millions of fans of the action genre around the world."
