'Angh' - A Story Rooted in Nagaland's Heritage
The film, which had its world premiere at TIFF on September 15, 2026, is a poignant Konyak-language drama set in the early 1960s. It delves into the life of Anghba, the last surviving chief of a deserted Konyak village near the India-Myanmar border in Nagaland. The narrative beautifully captures the profound cultural shifts and the identity crisis faced by a community caught between its age-old traditions and the encroaching modern world, particularly with the arrival of an American Christian missionary.
