Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff is preparing to resume shooting for his much-anticipated film, Lag Jaa Gale, next month, following the Diwali festivities. This comes after a harrowing firing incident on October 18, 2026, near a football ground in Juhu, Mumbai, where the actor sustained minor injuries, and his driver, along with another individual, were injured. The incident, for which the Lawrence Bishnoi gang later claimed responsibility, has prompted the film's makers to significantly ramp up security measures for the star. Tiger Shroff Firing Case: Mumbai Police Invoke MCOCA Against All Accused.

Tiger Shroff's Return to Sets Post-Diwali

Sources close to the production indicate that Tiger Shroff is expected to be back on set in early November, specifically after the main Diwali celebrations conclude. Diwali 2026's primary day, Lakshmi Puja, falls on Sunday, November 8, with the festival observed from November 6 to November 10.

Contrary to earlier reports suggesting an immediate return to work, India Today confirmed that the actor has been recuperating at home with his family since the October 18 incident. The upcoming schedule for Lag Jaa Gale is reportedly a 10-day patchwork stint to complete the remaining portions involving the actor.

Tightened Security and Ongoing Investigation

The firing incident has led to a complete overhaul of security arrangements for Tiger Shroff. His security detail and the film's production team have reportedly devised a comprehensive plan to safeguard him. This includes maintaining strict confidentiality regarding his shooting schedule and location, with such sensitive information being shared only with a small, trusted group of core team members. Additionally, extra precautions are being implemented directly on the film sets.

Police investigations into the October 18 incident are ongoing, with 7 arrests made so far, including the alleged shooters and their accomplice. The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has also urged producers to enforce stricter security on film sets across the industry following the attack, calling for verified hiring practices and prompt threat reporting.
