After entering the Rs 100 crore club, Vicky Kaushal's latest offering Uri: The Surgical Strike is now eyeing to surpass the Rs 200 crore mark at the Indian box office. Yes, the medium-budget film has fared so well that hitting a double century is going to be its next milestone. Co-starring Yami Gautam, Paresh Rawal, and television actor Mohit Raina, Uri released on January 11 and since then has refused to slow down at the ticket windows. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter a while back and announced the updated Bo figures. Uri - The Surgical Strike Box Office Collection Day 14: Vicky Kaushal and Yami Gautam's Film Has a Fantastic Second Week.

He wrote, "#UriTheSurgicalStrike is rocking... Puts up a fantastic total in Weekend 3... The incredible trending is an eye opener... Has a strong chance of joining ₹ 200 cr Club... [Week 3] Fri 4.40 cr, Sat 9.75 cr, Sun 9.20 cr. Total: ₹ 157.38 cr. India biz. #Uri #HowsTheJosh."

Adarsh also tweeted, "#UriTheSurgicalStrike biz at a glance...Week 1: ₹ 71.26 cr, Week 2: ₹ 62.77 cr, Weekend 3: ₹ 23.35 cr, Total: ₹ 157.38 cr. India biz. #UriTheSurgicalStrike benchmarks...Crossed ₹ 50 cr: Day 5, ₹ 75 cr: Day 8, ₹ 100 cr: Day 10, ₹ 125 cr: Day 13, ₹ 150 cr: Day 17. India biz."

Along with Uri, Anupam Kher and Akshaye Khanna starrer The Accidental Prime Minister also released on January 11 but the film eventually failed to make a mark at the box office. A lot of films arrived in the theatres the very next week but none of them managed to find an audience as Uri continued its golden run at the cinema halls. In fact, the film is still minting big money despite the release of Kangana Ranaut's Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi and Nawazuddin Siddiqui's Thackeray. No wonder, Vicky's film has been declared the first big blockbuster of 2019.
