Vicky Kaushal and Yami Gautam's Uri: The Surgical Strike isn't going to slow down at the box office anytime soon. Despite being in its third week, the film is faring so well that it will soon enter the Rs 200 crore club. What's interesting is that many films have released after Uri but none of them have managed to pose any competition at the BO including Kangana Ranaut's highly ambitious project Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi and Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer Thackeray. Directed by Aditya Dhar, Uri arrived in theatres on January 11 and since then has been minting moolah at the box office non-stop. Uri - The Surgical Strike Box Office Collection Day 19: Vicky Kaushal's Film Continues to Trend Well, Earns Rs 164.10 Crore.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to microblogging site Twitter a while back and revealed the updated figures. He wrote, "#UriTheSurgicalStrike continues its winning streak... Remarkable biz on weekdays increases its chances of hitting ₹ 200 cr... [Week 3] Fri 4.40 cr, Sat 9.75 cr, Sun 9.20 cr, Mon 3.43 cr, Tue 3.34 cr, Wed 3.33 cr. Total: ₹ 167.48 cr. Apart from becoming the first blockbuster of 2019, the military drama has also turned out to be the biggest grosser in the medium-budget film category. It was being said that Uri would make around Rs 175 crore in its lifetime run but the film has performed so well that it has surpassed all the expectations.

While Uri will continue to get cash registers ringing in India, this week another film is set to hit the theatres. Sonam Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Anil Kapoor, and Juhi Chawla starrer Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga will release tomorrow, on February 1. So will Uri suffer at the BO because of ELKDTAL? Probably not but let's just wait and watch and not jump to any conclusions. Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga: Not Just Sonam Kapoor's, Even Rajkummar Rao's Character Struggles With Sexual Identity in The Film?
