When SS Rajamouli confirmed that Alia Bhatt is making her debut in Telugu cinema with the upcoming magnum opus RRR, from industry friends to fans, everyone were happy about it. The filmmaker also confirmed that she would be paired opposite Ram Charan in the film, who is portraying the role of Alluri Sitarama Raju. In an interview to HT Alia Bhatt has opened up about her collaboration with SS Rajamouli for RRR. About it she was quoted saying as, “I look up to his work and have been a fan even before Baahubali released. In fact not many would know that when I met him at the airport I was like, ‘Sir I want to work with you’. After Baahubali, the moment I heard that he is working on his next film, I knew I have to work with him. He was quite surprised and told me that he was also thinking of working with me and that I would have got a call from him anyway. Alia Bhatt is a fantastic actress and her performance in her debut film Student of the Year, Highway, Raazi, Gully Boy and other projects are proof. Well, for the period drama RRR, in which she’s playing the character Sita, the actress is taking efforts to not only understand Telugu language but she is learning all her lines. About it she said, “I am even learning all my lines in Telugu and trying to understand them well. I want every scene to be authentic … Not every day you get to work with people like him, I want to give my best.” RRR also features Jr NTR in the lead role and Ajay Devgn would also making his debut in Tollywood. Produced under the banner of DVV Entertainments, RRR is all set to be released in July 2020.
