The annual list of Forbes Highest-Paid Actors is out and it's not surprising to see Dwayne Johnson secure the numero uno position in the same. The Baywatch actor has managed to beat the Avengers stars Chris Hemsworth and Robert Downey Jr to be the highest-paid actor in Hollywood. With a total collection of  $89.4 million between June 1, 2018, and June 1, 2019, The Rock is way ahead than his contemporaries and it's not really shocking.

Speaking about the reasons that make him the highest-paid actor, Johnson collects a straight salary of $23.5 million (his highest quote yet for the Jumanji: The Next Level) in addition to 15% of the pool from high-grossing franchise movies. Besides his movie outings, he's also paid  $700,000 per episode for HBO’s Ballers and another seven figures in royalties for his line of clothing, shoes and headphones with Under Armour. Dwayne Johnson Calls Varun Dhawan ‘Best’ and All The Rock Fans Might Feel Jealous.

Clearly, Dwayne's has the best deal in the market today but his fellow buddies like Robert Downey Jr are not far behind. The Iron Man star demands a straight salary of $20 million in addition to his 8% of the pool for his role as the fellow Avengers.

The complete list of the top ten highest-paid actors in 2019 is as below.

  1. Dwayne Johnson ($89.4 million)
  2. Chris Hemsworth ($76.4 million)
  3. Robert Downey Jr ($66 million)
  4. Akshay Kumar ($65 million)
  5. Jackie Chan ($58 million)
  6. Bradley Cooper ($57 million)
  7. Adam Sandler (tie with Cooper)
  8. Chris Evans ($43.5 million)
  9. Paul Rudd ($41 million)
  10. Will Smith ( $35 million)

The year belongs to The Rock and we don't know what else he needs to make it better. The Jumanji star recently tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend, Lauren Hashian and now the news of him being the highest-paid actor.
