The Golden Globe Awards 2019 had about five nominations reserved for Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga's A Star is Born. However, with the film having raked in only one award out of the five nominations, people have expressed their displeasure. The 76th Golden Globe Awards 2019 that took place with hosts Sandra Oh and Andy Samberg, nominated A Star is Born for five categories namely, Best Original Song, Best Motion Picture, Best Actress in a Motion Picture, Best Actor in a Motion Picture and Best Director.

However, out of all the nominations, the film bagged only one trophy, that is for the Best Original Song, Shallow. Lady Gaga, Mark Ronson, Anthony Rossomando and Andrew Wyatt collected the award as Gaga teared up on the stage.

People on Twitter are mighty upset with some of the awards that have been given. Fans have been stating that while Bohemian Rhapsody was a good watch, it definitely didn't stand ahead of A Star is Born. People were even upset with Glenn Close winning the Best Actress trophy which they think belonged to Lady Gaga for her performance in A Star is Born. Twitterati wasn't happy with the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for snubbing A Star is Born. Here are some of the tweets.

Will the lukewarm reception of A Star is Born at the Golden Globe Awards 2019 to affect its stance at the Acamdey Awards 2019? Considering how Golden Globe Awards is considered to be the next most prestigious after the Academy Awards, would A Star is Born not shine at the Oscar? We'll have to wait and see what happens next.
