Gully Boy is ready to rap the way into your hearts with Ranveer Singh play the protagonist. The first teaser footage of the film was dropped just minutes ago and already fans are going crazy over how dope it is. Well, many of them are lauding Ranveer for his mindblowing look and rap in the trailer. He looks different, daring and damn hot in the teaser. In fact, the whole soundtrack has been rapped by Ranveer which further makes the wait for Gully Boy more difficult! But while there are many who love it, some are apprehensive of it as it reminds them of Eminem's 8 Mile.
Twitterati is calling Ranveer Singh's rap rendition with Alia Bhatt as a rip off of Eminem's famous film, 8 Mile, which is a semi-biopic of the international rapper. One of the users stated, "Asli Hip Hop and the grim environment of Gullyboy reminds me of 8 Mile... has similar vibes! Can't wait!!!" while someone else directly accused the makers of plagiarism, "Abe 8 Mile ka Copy kiya.." One more user said, "To me #GullyBoy looks like a copy of EMINEM'S movie 8 MILE." In all honesty, we think the comparison is really not required here as booth the stories are about struggles of rappers from different horizons of the earth.

This #GullyBoy teaser is well cut - spliced non-linear visuals with a "single" linear audio. 8mile meets Mumbai - which is on point!#ZoyaAkhtar@ritesh_sid @FarOutAkhtar @excelmovies @RanveerOfficial @aliaa08 https://t.co/nhljGTHIDs

The first footage is quite kickass if you ask us as it gives a brief glimpse of the things Gully Boy Ranveer Singh goes through as he tries to make it big in the Indian rap sphere. In case you folks didn't know, the story has been inspired by real-life Indian rap artists Divine and Naezy. Directed by Zoya Akhtar, the film is set to release on Valentine's Day. The trailer of the film, however, will be out on January 9, 2019.
