Until a couple of years ago, Aquaman, in orange and green tights served as fodder for jokes on the internet. But DCEU gave the character a whole new life. Jason Momoa was cast in Justice League as Aquaman, making him the most 'badass' superhero we had seen in the longest time. Maybe since, The Dark Knight Rises. What a time to be alive. Who on this planet would have thought that Aquaman would beat Batman? James Wan, who is known for honing horror movies like Insidious and The Conjuring, is owed a huge credit by Warner Bros. His vision has led the movie to speak to the audience on a global level.

And with that, as per reports, Warner Bros has already greenlit the sequel to Aquaman. The production company is also keen to bring James Wan as the director again, reports Deadline. The production company also paid a huge amount to bring Patty Jenkins on board to direct the sequel of Wonder Woman. Maybe, finally, DC is figuring the directors that can lead DCEU into a world of success.
