The first LEGO Movie was a damn great surprise. Who expected that that characters made out of Lego blocks will turn out be such a huge hit? But when the movie came out, we realised that it lived upto its theme song, 'Everything is Awesome!'. Directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, The Lego Movie created such a huge fanbase after its release that many were disappointed it wasn't nominated for the Academy Awards.
So now comes the sequel, The LEGO Movie 2 - The Second Part, the trailer of which came out some time ago, that brings back the protagonists from the original movie, everyman Emmet (Chris Pratt) and the brave Lucy (Elizabeth Banks), who are still a couple. However, Lucy seems pretty annoyed with Emmet's always optimistic attitude. The wheels go rolling when Lucy and few more heroes get taken away by a mysterious enemy into space, and Emmet has to save her.
Check out the official synopsis here - "The much-anticipated sequel to the critically acclaimed, global box office phenomenon that started it all, “The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part,” reunites the heroes of Bricksburg in an all new action-packed adventure to save their beloved city.
