Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan's daughter Shruti Haasan and London-based theatre actor Michael Corsale, who have been dating each other for a couple of years now, have called it quits because the long-distance relationship wasn't working out in their favour. Yes, you read that right. The duo, who has never shied away from professing their love for each other in social media, giving us couple goals, have parted ways after two years of courtship. Shruti and Michael started dating in 2016. The couple had always tried to keep their relationship under wraps, but their Instagram accounts filled with mushy pictures had a different story to tell. Earlier, when there were rumours about shruti and Michael to have split up, Mumbai Mirror quoted a source as saying, "The decision was taken by mutual consent and there is no bad blood between the two. They continue to remain the best of friends and will always have each other’s back. They really respect and care for each other." However, this time, the couple has made it official.
Earlier this week it was observed that a lot of photos from Shruti Haasan's Instagram account featuring herself and Michael were deleted. On the other hand, confirming the same, this time Michael took to the photo-sharing app to share a picture on Instagram and wrote, "his young lady will always be my best mate. On the professional front, Shruti, who was on a long break from films, has finally signed up for filmmaker SP Jananathan's upcoming flick titled Laabam, alongside Vijay Sethupathi. The actress, who had been concentrating on her career as a musician for the past few years, was last seen in Suriya's Singam 3 and hasn’t signed any Tamil projects for over a year now. This will be the first time that Shruti Haasan will be pairing up with Vijay Sethupathi for a film and fans of the actors are quite pumped up to know what's in the store. Helmed by SP Jananathan, the film is being bankrolled by 7Cs Entertainment and Vijay Sethupathi Productions. Watch this space for further updates.
