It has been only a couple of episodes and Sunil Grover’s Kanpur Wale Khuranas is all set to go off-air. The chat show in its short but eventful existence, saw A-Lister television and Bollywood celebrities grace the show for promotions and also saw them have a whale of time on the show. However, it was always meant to be a short journey of only 16 episodes, revealed Sunil to Pinkvilla, as he only had a gap of one month for his TV showSunil Grover Blasts Troll for Comparing His Upcoming Show Kanpur Wale Khuranas With Kapil Sharma’s.

He was quoted as saying, "It is because of me. I had signed the show for 8 weeks ONLY because my dates were locked for Bharat, the movie. I had made this clear even during the press conference and interviews that I could only accommodate this much time. I am kick starting the last leg of the shoot for Bharat from today, and I just want to thank the team who made this show happen including the channel and the guests who accommodated dates because of my schedule.” Sunil Grover Wishes Kapil Sharma and Ginni Chatrath Ahead of their Wedding

He also revealed that many actors came on his show to promote their projects even before they were scheduled to begin the official promotions so that they could adjust according to Sunil’s schedule.

While Sunil’s show received a mixed response, there were constants trolls and comparisons between this and The Kapil Sharma Show. To that Sunil revealed, "90% of them are with fake ids, 70-80% of them don't have their own profile picture and are nameless, these are the ones who troll. So, it doesn't bother me,” also thanking fans who loved his show.

And as for comparisons with Kapil’s comeback show, an unfazed Sunil said, "Let them compare. I am doing what I know. I enjoyed doing the show. I love humour as a genre. It was a great journey for, day and night we were working on funny one liners, developing a character, working as a team. Making two episodes a day is not easy, no one can do it in this genre, lining up artists and more. If you look at it, it was quite unachievable what this team has been able to achieve.”

Sunil also mentioned his team Preeti Simoes, Neeti Simoes, Hemant and everybody else, who contributed to the show and its success. As for fans of Sunil who will miss seeing him on the small screen, the actor is currently shooting for the last leg of Bharat with Salman Khan. And looks like Sunil is all set to make another impression with this film, as he did with his debut Patakhaa.
