Reports suggest that actor Yogesh Rawat and television star Rashami Desai are under consideration by the show's casting team to join the prison-themed setup. Speaking at a press launch in Mumbai, Kapoor noted that the demographic, vision, and the "jailer-judge" format have been entirely reimagined to suit a global streaming audience on Netflix. Among other names circulating in ongoing discussions for the final roster are digital comedian Kusha Kapila and fitness model Asim Riaz.
The participants will face daily tasks, strict status hierarchies, and structural punishments designed to test their survival instincts. The six-week series is co-produced by Balaji Telefilms Ltd and Colosceum. Following its launch, Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa will stream weekly from Saturday to Wednesday at 8:00 PM.
