Recently, we all were collectively transported back to the good ol’ days of Sanjivani: A Medical Boon (2002) and Dill Mill Gayye (2007), when Alchemy Productions released the teaser for Sanjivani 2. The show will see actors Gurdeep Kohli as Dr Juhi Singh and Mohnish Bahl as Dr Shashank Gupta reprise their roles from Sanjivani and Dill Mill Gayye respectively. And this time around, instead of interns, these senior doctors will be seen joined by a team of resident doctors, which will be played by Surbhi Chandna, Namit Khanna, Sayantani Ghosh and Rohit Roy. Sanjivani 2: Surbhi Chandna and Namit Khanna Give Us A Glimpse of Their On-Screen Chemistry And Leave Us Wanting For More

And if you thought that the shift from interns to resident doctors was the catch this time around, let us tell you that it is not. Sanjivani 2 will have an all-new serious storyline.

This time around, the show will focus on how the Sanjivani team strives hard to protect their hospital from the clutches of corporatisation, the dark world of the medical profession and also lots of light-hearted entertainment, romance and much more. Sanjivani 2 Promo: Mohnish Bahl, Gurdip Punjj, Surbhi Chandna and Namit Khanna Are Here to Increase Our Heart Rate – Watch Video

Confirming the same to Mirror, actress Gurdeep Kohli says, “It (Bagging Sanjivani) gave me a name in the industry. And I married Arjun (Punj) who played my best friend. It seems like Dr Juhi and I were leading parallel lives and life has come full circle now.”

Talking about how the subject is a bit risky, Gurdeep revealed that they have a real doctor present on the sets to make sure they don’t go in the wrong direction. “Such stories resonate with people because everyone has been to a hospital at some point. We even had a popular actor talking about the dark side of the medical profession on the same channel.”
