Star Parivaar Awards 2018 was a star-studded affair taking place in Mumbai on October 6. Star Plus, one of India’s top Hindi general entertainment (GEC) genre hosted its much-awaited awards night that saw small screen’s biggest celebrities in attendance. While the channel boasts of hit serials such as Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala or newly launched Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2, its most-loved ones remain Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and Ishqbaaz. Naakul Mehta who is famous for playing Shivaay Singh Oberoi in the hit romantic daily soap Ishqbaaz won an award in ‘Favourite Digital Sadasya – Male’ category as his on-screen love interest Surbhi Chandna aka Anika picked ‘Favourite Digital Sadasya – Female’ award. The duo also won ‘Favourite Digital Sadasya – Jodi’. It comes as no surprise as Nakuul and Surbhi boast of a massive presence on the social media. Surbhi in fact also won an award for being the most stylish celeb and seeing her sartorial taste, we could not agree more with the jury members.

After winning so many awards, Nakuul and Surbhi posed for several pictures. He took to Instagram to express how he felt post victory as well as thanking his fans. TV’s beloved SSO writes, “You guys are the BOMB. These awards are a physical manifestation of the mad love which we receive from 'you' everyday. They belong to you. Both of us are merely posers happily recieving them on your behalf. And we love you.. truly, madly & deeply just like the Savage Garden.”

Nakuul went on to thank his lovely co-star Surbhi Chandna by writing, “Delighted to share these with you, @officialsurbhic ❤️ Whilst reminiscing on stage during our speeches (& god knows there were a few last night) there was an almost eureka moment where I realised that we have been doing this for over two and half years but we continue to unfailingly crib, struggle & push each other to do our best. They bagged ‘Favourite Jodi’ award. Mohsin and Shivangi bagged ‘Favourite Pati’ and ‘Favourite Patni’ awards respectively for Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Mohsin also bagged ‘Favourite Beta’ award. The young actor is truly one of its kind of be a loving husband and an obedient son.

Child artist Aakriti Sharma won ‘Favourite Beti’ award for her cute portrayal of Kullfi while her on-screen father Mohit Malik as Sikander bagged ‘Favourite Pita’ award. Megha Chakraborty as Krishna from Krishna Chali London was also adjudged ‘Favourite Beti’.
