The second season of Star Plus’ Ishqbaaz saw some huge changes in terms of the cast. Barring Nakuul Mehta, the entire cast quit the show and a new lead was brought opposite Nakuul Mehta. Actress Manjiri Pupala, a well-known face in the Marathi entertainment industry, was roped in to play Nakuul's love interest in Dhinchak Ishqbaaz. But since the ardent fans of Ishqbaaz were not really happy with the casting or the jodi, the makers decided to replace her. As the makers started auditioning for another actress and roped in Niti Taylor alongside Nakuul, Manjiri chose to quit the show. In a statement to Spotboye, a source close to the development said, "Yes, Manjiri is not shooting for Ishqbaaaz currently. She chose to walk out of the show and there seems to be no scope of her return in the near future."
Ishqbaaaz fame Surbhi Chandna, whose abrupt exit from the show had not been taken down too well by the fans, is all set to return to the small screen. The actress will mostly make her comeback with an upcoming show on Star Plus. According to a report in Telly Chakkar, Siddharth Malhotra is all set to bring popular medical TV show Sanjivani back on the television. If the reports are anything to go by, the the third season will soon return on Star Plus and Surbhi Chandna has been approached by the makers to play the female lead in the remake of the TV show. Reportedly, the project is currently at the planning stage and the casting will take much time. Stay tuned to this space for further updates.
