The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) finally declared the class 10 compartmental results on August 2 at their official website; biharboard.online.gov.in. Those who could not clear the regular board exams appeared in the supplementary exams which were held in July. Class 12 re-exam results were released on August 26, and since then, speculations for matric results began. This time, the students had to wait for a long time for their matric supplementary scores. BSEB chairman Anand Kishor announced the results stating that the overall pass percentage this year declined drastically from 64.53 per cent in 2017 to only 26.63 per cent. Bihar Board Declares Class 10 Supplementary Results. 

TOI stated that out of the total number of students who had appeared in the class 10 compartment exams, 1,56,030 including 1,01,693 girls have failed to secure the passing marks. Meanwhile, the results of about 2,334 candidates were kept pending due to several reasons. The Board chairman in a later report informed that the qualified supplementary candidates could take admissions in class 11 intermediate junior colleges across the state by registering through Online Felicitation System for Students (OFSS); ofssbihar.inPatna High Court Slams Rs. 1 Lakh Fine on Bihar Board for Inaccurately Failing Class 12 Intermediate Student. 

Chairman Kishor was quoted in the TOI report as saying, “Students can fill the admission forms between September 5 and September 8 through OFSS on www.ofssbihar.in. Candidates can choose minimum five and maximum 20 institutes for admissions in science (PCM and PCB), commerce and arts streams in 3,262 educational institutes in Bihar. The third merit list will be released on September 13 and the admission process will take place between September 14 and 18.”

Besides, those whose results are withheld, will have to apply on BSEB’s web portal and fill in the required details they forgot to mention or have wrongly filled in the OMR sheet during the class 10 compartment exams, the window will remain open from September 4 to September 6. BSEB Declares Class 12th 2018 Compartment Examination Result. 

The compartment exams for matric students began on July 31 and continued till August 2. At 311 examination centres across the state under strict CCTV surveillance, over 2 lakh students wrote the exam. All the students could appear in a maximum of two subjects in the compartment exam. Local reports earlier stated that about 17 students including five girls were expelled for using unfair means during the exams.
