The Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) announced to conduct the Common Admission Test (CAT), which will be held on November 24, 2019, in two sessions. This year, CAT 2019 will be conducted by the IIM Kozhikode (IIM-K) and the online registration for the same is slated to start from August 7, 2019. Candidates can check IIM CAT 2019 notification at the official websites; iimcat.ac.in, iimk.ac.in. The official notification will be published at the newspapers on July 28, 2019. All the interested candidates are advised to keep a tab on the same online. CAT is an entrance exam for admission to the management courses in the IIMs and other top MBA schools in the country. Each year, a coveted IIM is given the responsibility to conduct the entrance exam once a year. This year, IIM-K is responsible to conduct CAT 2019. Prof Subhasis Dey, Convener, CAT 2019 released a statement today, July 26, noting that the notification for the entrance exam will be out on July 28, 2019.

CAT 2019 Important Dates

  • CAT 2019 Exam Date: November 24, 2019, in two sessions.

  • CAT 2019 Registration: August 7 to September 18, 2019

  • CAT 2019 Admit Card: October 23 onwards till the date of the entrance test.

CAT 2019 Registration

To register, candidates will have to pay the registration fee through online payment modes only through credit cards, debit cards and net banking. CAT website with this year’s exam notification will go live on July 28, 2019. It will also highlight the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) that address some of the commonly asked queries regarding CAT 2019.

IIM CAT 2019 exam will be conducted in test centres which are spread across 156 cities in the country. Aspirants will be allowed to select four cities in order of preference. Cities and centres will be allotted by IIM-K only after the last date of the registration. The tutorials to understand the format of the entrance test will be available on the CAT website from October 16, 2019.
