On May 2, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) today declared the class 12 board exam result 2019. Students who have appeared in this year’s examination, can check their CBSE 12th scores online at the official website; cbse.nic.in. As per the official statistics, the pass percentage this year stood at 83.4%. Besides, 8.23% candidates are compartment. The candidates who have successfully cleared the CBSE class 12 board exam 2019, are all in joy, as they now prepare themselves for higher studies. However, the remaining candidates who had failed in one subject or two, or securing the pass percentile, will not be at stake as the board is slated to begin the compartment examination procedure for those students.

On May 2, CBSE released an important official circular which details the schedule for the CBSE Result 2019 process. The official notice contains a timeline for the verification and revaluation process that will begin after the announcement of CBSE class 10 result 2019. What is CBSE Compartment/ Improvement Exams?

A candidate failing in one of the five subjects of external exam will appear in the CBSE compartment exam in that subject, provided he/ she qualifies in all the subjects of internal assessment. Students should not be confused between CBSE compartment exams with CBSE improvement exams. Improvement exams are those which are just for the sake of improving your mark, whereas CBSE compartment examinations are for candidates who have failed in one of the five subjects in the board exams 2019. Although, CBSE compartment board exam 2019 schedule is yet to be declared, the board is likely to conduct the same in July this year. CBSE will update on its official website about the compartment exams 2019 after the declaration of CBSE class 10 board results.

Karishma Arora and Hansika Shukla jointly topped the CBSE class 12 board exam 2019. Both of them have scored 499 out of 500 marks. Trivandrum is the topper region for class 12 CBSE board exams 2019, by securing 98.2% as a passing percentage followed by Chennai with 92.93% and Delhi 91.87%.
