Jammu, January 3: Applications for 84 posts of Junior Assistants have been invited by the Jammu & Kashmir State Board of School Education, Jammu. The applicants should be "permanent residents" of J&K. The interested aspirants can apply at the Board's official website - jkbose.ac.in - from January 5. The registration fees, which is Rs 600, also needs to be paid online. The last date for submitting the online applications is January 20.

The candidate should have a graduation degree from a registered university. The passing percentage should not be be below 50 per cent -- which is relaxed by upto 5 per cent for candidates applying from the Schedule Caste, Scheduled Tribe, OBC and other reserved categories. JKBOSE 12th Result 2018 for Kashmir Division: Board Releases Notification.

The application should not be below the age of 18, and not beyond 40. However, the age limit has been relaxed upto 43 for SC/ST/RBA/ALC/OSC candidates. For ex-servicemen, the upper age cap is 48 years. For government and contractual employees, the upper age limit would remain 40 years.

Out of the total invited applications, 32 posts will be assigned to candidates from open category, 12 to RBA, 10 to SC, 13 to ST, 3 to ALC, 11 to ex-servicemen, 1 to social caste and 2 to specially abled aspirants.

The selected candidates would be placed in Pay Level - 4, ensuring a salary between Rs 25,500 to Rs 81,000.

The candidates, who would be shortlisted based on their graduation marks, would be called for a written test. Those who clear the written test would have to undergo a type test, where their typing speed should not be below 30 words per minute.
