Amid the ongoing controversy surrounding the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET)-UG 2026, Karnataka student Bindushree Pawar has alleged that the National Testing Agency (NTA) uploaded an OMR sheet that does not belong to her, resulting in an incorrect score. The Haveri district resident has filed a formal complaint seeking verification of her answer sheet, citing discrepancies in the uploaded document, including implausible exam timings and inconsistencies in her marks.
Bindushree, who appeared for the NEET-UG re-examination, said she expected to score well based on the provisional answer key but was shocked when the declared result showed she had scored only 11 marks. She has urged the NTA to investigate the matter and verify the authenticity of the OMR sheet linked to her application.

Bindushree Alleges Incorrect OMR Sheet
According to her complaint, the OMR sheet uploaded by the NTA records her entry time as 1:56 pm and exit time as 1:57 pm, indicating that she spent only one minute inside the examination centre.
Bindushree questioned how any candidate could complete the NEET examination and fill out the OMR sheet within such a short period, describing the recorded timings as implausible.
She also alleged that the fingerprint visible on the uploaded OMR sheet appears to have been overlapped twice, raising concerns about the authenticity of the document.
Marks Discrepancies Raise Questions
Speaking to ANI, Bindushree said: “On July 16, they published what they claim is my original OMR sheet, showing that I attempted only 41 questions. In reality, I attempted 165 out of 180 questions, which earns me 668 marks according to the final answer key. Instead, they have shown that I attempted just 41 questions and declared a score of -11. There are clearly many loopholes and discrepancies in this OMR sheet. My only request to the government is to give me my original OMR sheet."
Complaint Filed With NTA
Bindushree has submitted a formal complaint to the National Testing Agency, requesting verification of her OMR sheet and a detailed investigation into the alleged discrepancies. She maintains that the OMR sheet uploaded online does not belong to her and has sought a thorough examination of her examination records.
The allegations come amid heightened scrutiny of the NEET-UG 2026 examination process following the paper leak controversy and concerns raised by several candidates regarding the conduct of the examination and evaluation process. The NTA has not publicly responded to Bindushree Pawar's specific allegations at the time of publication.
