New Delhi, June 21: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued important guidelines for candidates appearing in the NEET UG 2026 re-examination being held today. Students have been advised to follow reporting schedules, dress code requirements and security protocols strictly to avoid any inconvenience at examination centres.
According to the NTA, candidates must report to their allotted examination centres between 11 AM and 1:30 PM. Entry gates will close at 1:30 PM, and no candidate will be allowed to enter after the deadline under any circumstances. Aspirants are advised to reach their centres well in advance to account for traffic congestion and security checks. NEET UG Re-Exam 2026: Documents Required
Candidates must carry the following documents to the examination centre:
- Printed copy of the NEET UG 2026 admit card
- One original valid photo identity proof
- Two passport-size photographs to be affixed on the attendance sheet

NEET UG 2026 Dress Code Guidelines
The NTA has asked candidates to adhere to the prescribed dress code. Those wearing customary or religious attire, full-sleeve garments or woollen clothing should report early to allow sufficient time for frisking and security procedures.
Items Prohibited Inside Examination Centres
The following items are strictly banned inside the examination hall:
- Mobile phones and electronic gadgets
- Smartwatches and Bluetooth devices
- Calculators
- Wallets and jewellery
- Metallic accessories
- Food packets and other unauthorised materials
Only permitted items mentioned in the official guidelines will be allowed inside the examination centre.
NTA Issues Advisory to Candidates
The agency has urged students to rely only on official information released through NTA channels and avoid rumours related to the examination. Candidates have also been asked to immediately report any suspicious messages or claims regarding paper leaks to authorities or cybercrime units.
For mental health support, students can access the Tele-MANAS helpline by dialling 14416, a 24x7 national mental health service.
The NTA has reiterated its commitment to conducting the NEET UG 2026 re-exam with transparency, fairness and enhanced security arrangements across centres in India and abroad.
