The Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) will not declare the results for class 12th board exams today; May 16. Earlier reports were doing rounds that RBSE would announce the results in the second week of May and some even speculated the results date paving tension among students in Rajasthan. However, the director of Rajasthan Board informed that the results of class 12th science and commerce will be declared before the last week of May and not today. The students and their concerned parents must keep their calm and visit the official websites of Rajasthan Board; rajeduboard.rajasthan.gov.in and rajresults.nic.in as any updates on results will only be available on these sites.

Speaking to The Indian Express, G K Mathur, Director of RBSE termed the media reports as fake. “The Board of Secondary Education Rajasthan is at the last leg of the result processing phase. We are trying to announce the results before the last week of May, as the admission process of various universities will begin soon,” the official was quoted in the same report. This year, the exam was conducted by RBSE from March 8 and continued till April 2, 2018. Once declared, students will be able to check their class 12th board results on the official websites of Rajasthan Board. Meanwhile, other third-party web portals such as examresults.net and indiaresults.com will also host the results.

Apart from the science and commerce stream results which is expected to be out by the end of this month, RBSE will declare class 12 arts stream results and class 10th board results in June. It is important for all students to note that the results available online will only serve first-hand information and the original marksheets issued by the Board will be available at its affiliated schools and institutions. “Neither NIC nor University/Board is responsible for any inadvertent error that may have crept in the results being published on Net. The results published on net are for immediate information to the examinees. These cannot be treated as original mark sheets. Original mark sheets have been issued by the University/Board separately,” reads the notification.
