The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) announced the most-awaited Group D Computer-Based Test (CBT) 2018 result today, March 4, 2019. RRB published the Group D answer key on January 11, 2019, and since then, speculations of the result date have only raised. After the official notification, confirming the RRB Group D result 2018-19 date, candidates could check their status for the largest recruitment drive. RRB conducted the CBT for CEN 02/2018 (Level 1 Posts) for Group D recruitment from September 17 to December 17, last year. After the announcement of the result, the exam dates of RRB PET 2019 will be released. About 1.25 lakh candidates will be shortlisted for the next stage RRB Group D recruitment process. RRB Group D Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
The shortlisted candidates will appear in the next stage Group D PET, the exam date of which is slated to be announced in the last week of February. For PET, the candidates will have to participate in two types of tests— carry weight for decided distance in a given time and run to a certain distance within a time frame.
- For weights, male candidates will have to carry 35 kgs for 100 meters in two minutes. On the other hand, female candidates will have to carry 20 kgs for 100 meters in two minutes. Candidates will get only one chance and have to finish at the first go without putting the weight down.
- For the race, male candidates will have to run 1000 metre in 4 minutes and 15 seconds, and female candidates should run 1000 metre in 5 minutes and 40 seconds. Candidates will get one chance to reach the finish line.
Document Verification and Medical Test
All the candidates who qualify the RRB Group D second stage PET, will be invited for document verification. The appointment of the selected candidates will be made based on the passing requisite Medical Fitness Test which will be conducted by the Railway Administration, final verification of educational and community certificates and verification of antecedent character of the candidates.
RRB has hosted the largest employment drive, creating history in India’s government recruitment. It has announced 64,371 vacancies for Assistant Loco Pilots and Technician, 62,907 for Group D and 13,487 Junior Engineering vacancies. The Group D CBT exam result 2018 are expected to be announced anytime soon. At present, the Railway panel is looking at the objections raised by the candidates. If any of them is found correct, the board will release a final answer key before the result in February.
