The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the admit card for the Mains exam on its official website; upsconline.nic.in. Those who have qualified in the Prelims this year will sit for this exam, which is scheduled to be held from September 28 and will continue till October 7. The call letters available online will hold all the necessary information; exam date, venue and timing of UPSC Mains 2018. It must be noted that the hall tickets will be available on the website till October 7. Above 10,000 qualified candidates will appear for the Mains. Foundation Course Will Not Decide Cadre of Civil Service Officers This Year. 

To download the admit card, the students will have to enter their roll number and other required details and click submit. The hard copy of the hall tickets shall be carried. Those without the admit card will be barred to enter in the exam hall. UPSC Prelims were conducted on June 3 in which around three lakh candidates participated in 73 exam centres across the country. Keeping up its tradition, the results were announced within 45 days. The qualifier who have filled the Detailed Application Form (DAF) can only download the admit cards. UPSC Mains has been distributed in 9 papers out of which seven are compulsory, and 2 are optional subjects that candidates can choose.

The UPSC official website was hacked recently. However, the authorities have restored it, and the candidates can use the official website to seek any related information. The Mains exam is descriptive, and hence there is no negative marking. The final merit list will contain marks obtained in the mains exam and personality test. These examinations are to hire in various administrative positions of All India Services and Central Civil Services.
