The Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) 2018 online registration date has been extended till October 7. Candidates who are yet to fill in the applications for TET, can now finish the procedure by visiting the official website upbasiceduboard.gov.in. In a similar manner, the candidates can deposit the exam fees a day later than the last date of registration; October 8. The state will host the TET on November 4 this year at various test centres across the state for candidates who aspire to serve as a Primary and Upper Primary Level Teachers in the government and aided schools.

The decision to revise the submission date came in after students complained to face technical glitches while filling the forms. UPTET registrations online began from September 17. But the application link stopped working reportedly, since September 30, following which the candidates demanded the Exam Regulatory Authority (ERA) to rectify the issue at the earliest. Earlier the last date for registration was October 4. But since morning the site was not responding due to which many candidates failed to apply for TET 2018. Hence, the authorities have now extended the application date.

TET has become compulsory for candidates to surpass who seek teaching jo0bs at both primary and upper primary levels. The exam will be conducted in two sessions for Primary (10:00 am to 12:30 pm) and Upper Primary Level (2:30 pm to 5:00 pm). Accordingly, the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board will release the admit card on October 19, from noon onwards for UPTET 2018.
