If you are planning to visit the bank in the month of April, it is necessary to keep the bank holidays list handy as the fourth month of the year has a lot of public holidays. Banking operations at branches will be disrupted five days this month owing to various events. Banks will remain shut on April 17 as Mahavir Jayanti is a holiday for banks. April 19 is Good Friday followed by April 27, 2019, as it is fourth Saturday.

On Saturday, April 6, Gudi Padwa, banks will remain closed in Maharashtra due to Marathi new year. The Himachal Pradesh banks across the country will be closed on April 15, on the eve of Himachal day. As per the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) guideline, all public and commercial sector banks are closed on second and fourth Saturday of every month and the same practice will be followed in the month of April as well.
