As per a report by The Times of India, the prisons department is evaluating technical feasibility studies to deploy the Tower Harmonics Call Blocking System to additional prisons. How the Tower Harmonics Call Blocking System Works

The system identifies and restricts unauthorised voice calls, text messages, and data services across 2G, 3G, and 4G networks while keeping public telecom infrastructure outside the facility fully functional.
State Prisons Minister Dr Arvind Sharma emphasised that adopting modern technical solutions remains a high priority for tightening security protocols.
