Bengaluru, June 6: The Karnataka Cabinet ministers will take oath at 2:12 pm today in Bengaluru. Ahead of the oath-taking ceremony, the expected list of MLAs who will be sworn in as minister in the HD Kumaraswamy Cabinet is out. The HDK Cabinet is set to have 15 Congress MLAs, 7 JDS MLAs, 1 BSP MLA and 1 KPJP MLA. The list has both Lingayat and Vokkaliga leaders. Congress's DK Shivakumar takes the top spot in the list of ministers from the party.

Interestingly, N Mahesh is the first BSP minister in Karnataka. He is the only BSP candidate who won in Karnataka Assembly elections 2018 and has now been given a rank in the coalition government in the state. Here is the complete list of ministers in Karnataka:

It is to be noted that former chief minister Siddaramaiah, Roshan Baig, MB Patil and Ramalinga Reddy do not appear in the list that is being circulated in the media. Meanwhile, protests have erupted in Karnataka with Satish Jharkiholi, Ajay Singh and MB Patil's names not being included in the list of ministers. Some reports say MB Patil is likely to quit as Congress MLA.
