Bengaluru, July 19: Karnataka BJP legislators who were on an overnight 'dharna' at Vidhana Soudha over their demand of floor test, have been seen going out for morning walk today. Adding a new twist to the ongoing political turmoil in the state, BJP legislators had staged a night-long sit-in at Vidhana Soudha, protesting against the Congress-JD(S) government dragging its feet on the trust vote. According to an agency report, The BJP MLAs were seen having discussions, dining together and sleeping on the green floor and the well of the House.

CM HD Kumaraswamy on Thursday conducted a floor test, but it got postponed due to a ruckus in the Assembly. After Karnataka Assembly Speaker KR Ramesh adjourned the House without the trust vote on Thursday, Governor Vajubhai Vala directed Chief Minister Kumaraswamy to prove his majority today by 1:30 pm. "I require you to prove your majority on the floor of the House on or before 1:30 p.m. tomorrow (Friday)," said Vala in a letter to the Chief Minister.

After the Speaker took the call to adjourn the House on Thursday, the BJP MLAs staged an overnight 'dharna', demanding that the Speaker should reply to the Governor's letter and hold a floor test by tonight itself.
