Mumbai, August 14: The Executive Chairman of Tata Sons, N Chandrasekaran has received a salary of Rs 65.52 crore for FY18-19. According to a report in Business Standard, there has been a 19 percent jump this year over his FY18 salary of Rs 55.11 crore. Saurabh Agarwal, the executive director of Tata Sons got a salary of Rs 16.45 crore which was an increment of 22 per cent from the last year. The commissions will be paid after the 101st annual general meeting scheduled to be held in the third week of August in Mumbai.
According to an International Business Times report, here is a list of what some of the chairmen of the leading firms get paid. Mukesh Ambani, the chairman of Reliance Industries Limited, took home a remuneration of Rs 15 crore. Salil Parekh, CEO of Infosys, took home a salary package of Rs 24.67 crore in the financial year 2019.
Reportedly, during FY2018-19, Tata Motors said N Chandrasekaran was paid Rs 6 lakh for attending board and committee meetings. However, as a policy, he abstained from receiving a commission.
