Mumbai, November 26: On the 10th year marking the 26/11 terror attack, the Mumbai Police also paid tributes to four hero dogs - Max, Sultan, Tiger, and Caesar - who saved scores of lives of November 26, 2008, by detecting the improvised explosive devices (IEDs) planted by the terrorists.

The hero canines were part of Mumbai Police's Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS). The four of them passed away over the last decade, and were buried with full state honours by the police department. A Decade of 26/11 Mumbai Terror Attack: What All Happened During Attacks and in Years to Follow.

On the unfateful day of 26/11, Max played a key role in minimising the casualties by detecting 8 kg of RDX, 25 grenades, 29 detonators, ball bearings and other shrapnel at Taj Hotel’s reception.

Caesar, meanwhile, brought to the police's notice two hand grenades left by the terrorists at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT), along 8 kg of RDX in the vicinity of Taj.
