The Commission's recommendations are expected to impact nearly 50 lakh serving central government employees and around 69 lakh pensioners across the country. Once approved by the Centre, the recommendations will determine salaries, allowances and pension benefits for the coming years.
Who Can Submit Data?
According to the Commission, extensive information is being sought from various government bodies. Those covered under the exercise include central government employees, All India Services personnel, defence forces, Union Territory employees, officials of the Indian Audit and Accounts Department, regulatory authorities, Supreme Court staff, pensioners, recognised service associations and employee unions.
How To Submit Data on the 8th CPC Portal

Users must first register on the portal using their email address and complete captcha verification before uploading the required information.
June 30 Deadline for Data Submission
The last date for submitting data through the online portal is June 30, 2026. The Commission has stated that this exercise is separate from the process of submitting memoranda and suggestions, which has already concluded.
Memoranda and Suggestions Window Closed
The Commission had earlier extended the deadline for memoranda and representations twice. The initial deadline of April 30, 2026, was extended to May 31 and later to June 15, 2026.
Officials have reiterated that only electronic submissions were accepted during the process and that physical copies or standalone documents would not be considered.
Regional Consultation Meetings Scheduled
As part of its stakeholder outreach programme, the Commission will hold consultations in Lucknow on June 22-23, Bhubaneswar on July 6-7 and Kolkata on July 9-10. Additional meetings are expected to be announced in the coming months.
When Will the 8th Pay Commission Recommendations Be Implemented?
The 8th Pay Commission was formally constituted on November 3, 2025, and has been given 18 months to submit its final report. This places the submission deadline around May 2027.
However, based on the implementation timeline of previous pay commissions, salary and pension revisions may take another two to three years after the report is submitted and approved. As a result, employees and pensioners may see the revised pay structure come into effect around 2029 or 2030.
