New Delhi, July 11: The Aadhaar Excellence Awards by Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has been given to Maharashtra, Karnataka and Punjab for Best Performing Postal Circle. According to reports, the awards in the fastest roll-out of Aadhaar Enrolment & Updation Centres category in the country was given to Punjab, Bihar and Telangana.

According to reports, the UIDAI- the body that issues the 12-digit biometric announced the awards to laud the efforts of India Post in setting up and operating Aadhaar Enrolment and Updation Centres across India.

India Post will have over 14000 Aadhaar Enrolment and Update Centres, across the country. A total of 66 awards are being in 3 categories--Best Performing Postal Circle. G. Venugopal Reddy, Deputy Director General, UIDAI Regional Office(Hyderabad)  informed that out of  the 66 awards,  3 awards  go to Maharashtra, Karnataka and Punjab, 3 awards to Punjab, Bihar and Telangana for the fastest rollout in the country by a Postal Circle while 60 awards for Best Performing Post Office in a Postal Region.

Reports inform that a total of 66 awards are being given in three categories, including, best performing postal circle, fastest rollout in the country and best performing post office in the postal region.
