Das was found charred to death on the road leading to Loni from Sahibabad inside a burnt down car. His body was found on the driver's seat. An unscathed mobile phone was recovered from inside the vehicle. Whatsapp messages till 4.30 am were found on it, police said.

The police, on the basis of investigation, have arrested Tayyab Qureshi, his brother Talib Qureshi and their friend Samar Khan. Police said that they mixed sedatives in the food that Das was supposed to eat and after he consumed the food, they robbed him.

Das's family had alleged foul play. His car keys were missing.
