Acid Attack on Journalism Student At Borivali Station, Culprit Escapes Undetected!

In a shocking case from Mumbai, 18-year-old journalism student was allegedly attacked with acid at Borivali station.

Borivali, December 3: In a shocking case from Mumbai, 18-year-old journalism student was allegedly attacked with acid at Borivali station. According to Mirror now, the 18-year-old survivor, a resident of Borivali, a journalism student in a south Mumbai college, was travelling in Borivali-bound fast train from Churchgate. The survivor boarded on 5:22 pm Borivali fast local from Churchgate after she reached Borivali station and was walking towards foot over bridge, she sensed an intense burning on her back as she touched her back,  three layers of her clothes had melted away from a portion of her back and her hands also started an burning sensation. Acid Terror Case: 5 Women, 1 Kid Injured as Unidentified Men Threw Acid Bombs.

She also tried to find the culprit but didn't find anyone carrying chemical or acid container. The survivor immediately called her mother and informed her about the incident. The survivor's mother advised her to head home immediately. On reaching home, her mother found her clothes stuck to her skin and burn patches. They immediately headed to Borivali Police station for where they were directed to the Borivali Government Railway Police (GRP).

After a medical examination on Friday, the police registered a complaint against the unknown culprit and a piece of her burnt cloth was sent to the forensic laboratory for further investigation. According to initial police investigations, the chemical might have been poured deliberately or it might have fallen accidentally on her. The student said she had no disputes with anyone nor she suspects anybody. However, she requested authorities to install more cameras in the station premises.
