Agra Viral Video: Disturbing Clip Shows S*x Assault Survivor Pleading in Field; 2 Arrested

Police in Agra have registered a case of alleged gangrape and blackmail after a video showing an 18-year-old woman being s*xually assaulted and pleading with her attackers surfaced on social media. The incident reportedly occurred about a month ago in a village under the Iradat Nagar police station area. Two of the named accused have been taken into custody.

According to the woman's statement to police, the incident took place on or around June 17. A local youth, identified as Chhota, came to her home claiming her mother had sent him for gutkha from the shop. On the way, Chhota, along with Vishal and Akash, allegedly stopped her. Akash reportedly took her to a field where Chhota s*xually assaulted her while Vishal recorded the video.

The woman reportedly told investigators she was threatened with the release of the video if she complained, which prevented her from reporting the matter immediately. The video, which also includes footage of the accused discussing the incident while laughing, was circulated on social media approximately one month later, prompting police action.

Police Response and Investigation

DCP East Abhishek Agarwal confirmed that a team traced the woman after the video went viral on Sunday, July 19. Following her complaint, a case has been registered under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code for gangrape, along with provisions of the Information Technology Act.

Chhota and Vishal have been detained for questioning. Police are continuing to investigate the roles of others visible in the video and will take further action based on the findings. A site inspection has also been conducted.
