Tirumala, September 29: In a bizarre incident, a man reportedly died after jumping off a moving auto rickshaw in Andhra Pradesh's Tirupati. The deceased, identified as Kotlapati Subramanyam (35), lost his life after jumping off a moving auto following an altercation with his wife on Thursday. This unfortunate incident took place near Lakshmipuram village in Thottambedu mandal of Tirupati district. The deceased was a resident of Gnanamma Kandriga village and worked at a local brick manufacturing unit.

According to a report published by the Times of India, Kotlapati, also known as Mani, and his wife Subbamma went to their relatives' house at Rajula Kandriga to attend a death ceremony related rituals and were returning back in an autorickshaw. Mani, who was allegedly intoxicated, got into a heated argument with his wife. Following the altercation, he impulsively leaped out of the moving vehicle in a fit of anger, resulting in severe head injuries. After the incident, Mani was promptly taken to the government hospital in Srikalahasti. Unfortunately, the doctors declared him dead upon arrival. The police have registered a case and are currently conducting further investigations. Mani and his wife are survived by their two children, the report said. In another incident, a man reportedly died by suicide after his wife locked him inside their house and contacted a police helpline following a fight in the Raiya village area of Rajkot city on the night of September 20. The incident occurred between 8 and 9 pm, the report said. The couple had a history of conflicts, as the man had previously attempted suicide about a month ago1.
