Angarki Sankashti Chaturthi 2019: Western Railway to Run Special Train From Churchgate to Virar to Facilitate Lord Ganesha Devotees Visiting Shree Siddhivinayak Temple

Mumbai, September 16: Railway authorities have decided to run a special mid-night train on the western line of Mumbai local network to serve devotees of Lord Ganesh on the intervening night of September 16 and 17. The Western Railway will run a special local train between Churchgate and Virar to facilitate commuters visiting Shree Siddhivinayak temple on the eve of Angarki Sankashti Chaturthi 2019. "Kindly note. To facilitate commuters visiting Shree Siddhivinayak temple on the eve of Angariki Sankashti Chaturthi, Western Railway will run an additional special local train in the intervening night of 16th/ 17th September 2019 from Churchgate to Virar," Western Railway tweeted.

The special mid-night train will depart from Churchgate station at 01:30 am and will reach Virar at 03:06 am on September 17. The Western Railway had also run special trains during the Ganesh Chaturthi 2019.

Angarki Sankashti Chaturthi is considered as highly auspicious among all Sankashti Chaturthi days. Sankashti Chaturthi, also known as Sankata Hara Chaturthi, is an auspicious day dedicated to Lord Ganpati. It is celebrated in every lunar month on the fourth day of Krishna Paksha.
