New Delhi, May 5: Former Chief Minister and Indian National Congress candidate from North-East Delhi Sheila Dikshit on Saturday condemned the attack on Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and said that such types of attack should not happen no matter who is the leader. Kejriwal, also the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief, was slapped by a man during a roadshow at Moti Nagar in New Delhi constituency on Friday. Arvind Kejriwal Says He Was Slapped on BJP's Behest, Calls Attack 'Scripted'.

Speaking to news agency ANI, Dikshit said, "We condemn the attack on Arvind Kejriwal. Such attacks should not happen no matter who is the leader." Meanwhile, earlier today, Sheila Dikshit held a door-to-door campaign in Seelampur area.

Kejriwal was atop an open jeep when the man jumped onto it and slapped him. The attacker was assaulted by scores of AAP workers before he was taken into police custody.
