Hyderabad, September 11: 52 people have died including six children in state-run RTC bus accident near Kondaagattu, Telangana on Tuesday. Sindhu Sharma, SP Jagtial, said that "45 people have died so far. Injured have been admitted to nearby government hospitals. Rescue operation is underway."

Telangana Finance Minister Etela Rajender confirmed that "52 people have died so far in the incident."

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, reacting on the tragic incident, announced Rs 5 lakh as ex-gratia to the family members of the deceased.

The state-owned Road Transport Corporation bus fell into a valley in Jagtial district Tuesday, officials said. Uttarakhand: Five Dead, 21 Injured After Bus Rolls Down a 50 Metre Deep Gorge Near Mohanri.

The bus returning from Kondagattu to Jagital skidded off the ghat road near Shanivarapet village and fell into the valley resulting in the accident, they said. "The incident happened between 11.45 am and noon. At least 15 persons have died in the mishap...20 others were injured and they have been shifted to different hospitals," Jagtial District Collector A Sharat, who is supervising the relief and rescue work, told PTI over phone. (With Agency Inputs)
