Bengaluru, August 15: Upscale bars and pubs in the city are under the scanner for sale and use of drugs. Bengaluru Police has been conducting this drive with an aim to tackle the rising menace in the city. According to a Times of India reports, teams have been formed to track the movement of drug peddlers in Bengaluru. No Smoking in Bengaluru Pubs, Bars & Hotels Soon?

Police have already warned the hotel and the pub owners that legal action will be taken if any customer is found to be consuming any banned substances inside their premises. The City Police Commissioner Bhaskar Rao strictly instructed his men to curb drug-peddling in and around the city.

The Central Crime Branch (CCB) police have tightened surveillance and are actively looking out for those who are supplying drugs. The search operation will continue for a few more months with an intention to eradicate drug peddling in the city. Police have instructed and warned the pub owners to inform them when they find anyone selling drugs to the customers.
