According to hospital sources, the woman was rushed to the emergency department following high-intensity clashes between law enforcement officers and demonstrators near Parliament Street and Jantar Mantar. Emergency medical staff stabilized her before transferring her to the intensive care unit (ICU), where she remains under round-the-clock monitoring. Medical personnel noted that several incoming patient cases involved severe head trauma, blunt force injuries, and respiratory distress triggered by tear gas exposure. The incident occurred during the CJP’s "Sansad Chalo" march, where thousands of student activists and youth supporters gathered to demand key administrative and educational reforms. Tensions escalated rapidly when demonstrators breached outer security perimeters, prompting law enforcement to deploy lathi-charges and tear gas canisters to disperse the crowd.
Organizers of the protest have accused security forces of exercising excessive force against peaceful demonstrators, alleging that multiple volunteers suffered serious injuries during the police action. Medical centers across central Delhi, including RML Hospital and Lady Hardinge Medical College, treated over 100 individuals following the clashes.
